Meet the Host

I have tried many a side hustle over the years, always with the plan to escape the 9 to 5. 

Don’t get me wrong, I have enjoyed a lot of the jobs I have done and like my current role but have always longed for more outside of the corporate world. 

I started in the magazine publishing world, working at brands like Self, Details, Glamour and Maxim doing events and marketing and ended up with a sales role at a media and technology company that services the live events industry. I am currently a Client Success Manager at that same technology company and work with clients to leverage the benefits of our ticketing platforms. 

I’ve always fantasized about starting a side hustle but never quite had a vision of what that side hustle would be. 

I have dabbled in stand up comedy, temporarily launched a networking group called Holy Hot Mess and most recently dragged my husband and kids into appearing on an HGTV reality tv show called “Hot Mess House” (are you noticing a theme here…lol) which actually ended up being an amazing experience. 

Fun fact about my husband and I…we met dancing West Coast Swing which we still do today:) 

I haven’t yet come up with that great idea for a side hustle myself but I have talked to so many people who have and their stories are incredible. I love hearing about what inspired them, how they got started and what the journey has looked like for them. Because to me…those conversations are what inspire me to want to start something of my own and make it seem a little less overwhelming and a lot more possible.
